In the article, " NC teen: Nose ring more than fashion, it's faith" the writer states that Ariana's freedom of religion is being taken from her. Ariana and her mother name Nikki belongs to the Church of Body Modification. Ariana assisting Clayton High School is being suspended  for having her nose pierce because its against the dress code of the district. They don't agree on their religion because they think is non-theistic faith. But if they would've been muslim or hindu it would've been different. It means that if she was from another religion she would not been going through what she's going through now by getting suspended to many times.
